North American Class 8 truck orders in November continued to trend below year-ago levels, according to ACT Research.

Preliminary data showed orders declined 5.2% to 30,600 units, marking the fifth month in 2024 where orders fell on an annual basis.

U.S. trailer orders declined year over year for the fourth consecutive month in August, ACT Research reported. However, the total increased by about 500 units from July.  

North American Class 8 truck orders continued to trend below the year-ago period in August, according to ACT Research. Preliminary data showed orders fell 16% to 16,400 units, but were up from July. 

ACT preliminary data showed orders fell 13% to 13,400 units. They also experienced a drop of 8% from the previous month.

North American Class 8 truck orders increased year-over-year but fell from the previous month during April, according to ACT Research.

North American Class 8 truck orders started off the year strong with January figures increasing from the year-ago period, according to ACT Research.

North American Class 8 truck orders for December fell from the 2022 period and a short-lived rebound the previous month, according to ACT Research.
