The average retail price of a used Class 8 fell for the third consecutive month in June, ACT Research reported, calling the trend a significant downturn even as the average retail price remained above $90,000.

The average retail price for a used Class 8 vehicle in December forged ahead to another monthly record as it cleared $82,000. That was 66% higher compared with a year earlier, ACT Research reported.

The average retail price of a used Class 8 vehicle in November bounced up 11.8% compared with the previous record just set in October and soared 67.8% higher compared with a year earlier, ACT Research reported.

The average retail price for a used Class 8 vehicle in October climbed a notch higher to set a record, overtaking the previous peak set in September, ACT Research reported.

Record prices and higher sales defined the used Class 8 market in August, ACT Research reported.

July sales of used Class 8 vehicles, along with the average price for a heavy-duty truck, rose year-over-year again.

The average price for a used Class 8 soared to a new high for the third consecutive month as June sales climbed year-over-year amid the lowest inventory levels yet in this cycle, ACT Research reported.

SelecTrucks announced the opening of its newest location in Texas, SelecTrucks of Texarkana, on the border of Texas and Arkansas.

The average price of a used Class 8 vehicle in February rose 17.9% to nearly $50,000 compared with a year earlier, as year-over-year sales rose, too, ACT Research reported.

The average used Class 8 vehicle in January had higher mileage and sold for a little less than a year earlier, ACT Research reported, calling it an inkling of all the freight there was to haul in the second half of 2020.
