The United Auto Workers union has once again escalated its strikes against big Detroit automakers, this time adding a factory that makes Ram pickup trucks for Stellantis.

Stellantis NV on Oct. 18 laid out its offensive in the commercial vehicle market, committing to launching four electrified pickup trucks in North America over the next two years.

The Canadian auto workers union has declared 11:59 p.m. Oct. 29 as the strike deadline to obtain a tentative agreement with the maker of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram.
