ATLANTA — Michelin Americas introduced two new drive tires for heavy-duty trucks — the XDA Energy+ for longhaul fleets and the X Multi D for regional carriers whose typical run is 400 miles or less.

Tire maker Michelin agreed to acquire NexTraq, a U.S. provider of commercial fleet telematics, in an all-cash transaction.

Michelin North America announced price increases in North America of up to 8% for heavy-duty truck tires and others it sells, adding it would roll out the exact increases separately.
