Michelin North America announced price increases in North America of up to 8% for heavy-duty truck tires and others it sells, adding it would roll out the exact increases separately.
It is the first price increase since 2012, the Greenville, South Carolina-based company said. It cited the effects of the cost of raw materials, advanced technology enhancements, innovations and other market conditions. The increase also affects passenger, earthmover, industrial-handling, agriculture and two-wheel segments.
Michelin did not provide a schedule and instead said it would notify customers with specific details.
