Werner Raises Fourth-Quarter Profit; Landstar Earnings Drop Slightly

Werner Enterprises Inc., which ranks No. 16 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers, raised fourth-quarter net income 12% to $36.6 million, or 51 cents per share, and No. 10 Landstar earnings dipped 2% to $37.9 million, or 88 cents.
