Profits at TFI International Inc. more than halved in the second quarter of 2023 to $128.2 million from $276.8 million in the year-ago period, the company said.

Eaton Corp. posted net income of $744 million in the second quarter of 2023, a 23.8% increase compared with a $601 million profit in the same period a year earlier.

ArcBest posted lower earnings and revenue on weaker demand for the second quarter, the Fort Smith, Ark.-based carrier announced July 28. 

Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. reported net income of $175 million in the second quarter of 2023, up 43% compared with $122 million in the same period a year earlier, the company said.

Carrier Global Corp. reported a narrowed second-quarter profit of $199 million, down from $573 million in the year-ago period.
