Safety and compliance software specialist predictive toll management and GPS-powered analytics specialist Commercelogic for an undisclosed sum.

Fleetworthy said the deal would offer carriers that use its Bestpass product predictive toll insights, automated reconciliation and cost-saving opportunities. Bestpass processed over $1.5 billion in toll transactions in 2024 and serves more than 30,000 customers.

The combination will offer fleets access to near real-time toll visibility, automated discrepancy detection and dynamic route optimization, Fleetworthy said in a July 15 news release.

The Commercelogic product suite is also available as a standalone toll reporting tool for Geotab and Samsara telematics customers, the Albany, N.Y.-based company said. Further electronic logging device integration partners are set to be announced in the coming months, it added.

“Commercelogic’s innovative technology and [artificial intelligence] perfectly complements our industry-leading toll management solution. This asset acquisition aligns with Fleetworthy’s broader vision of improving fleet safety, compliance and efficiency,” said Fleetworthy CEO Tom Fogarty.

“This acquisition continues our commitment to offering the most advanced toll analytics to fleet operators,” added Chief Product Officer Shay Demmons. “By integrating Commercelogic’s predictive tolling and AI capabilities, we will empower fleets with near real-time toll visibility, automated reconciliation processes and the ability to optimize routes and costs in ways that were previously not possible.”

Acquiring Commercelogic was Fleetworthy’s second purchase of an AI-powered software specialist in as many months.

Fleetworthy on June 10 announced the purchase of audit and compliance-focused Haul for an undisclosed sum. Headed by two former Uber Freight employees, Haul specializes in artificial intelligence compliance and safety automation technology. Specifically, Haul’s technology focuses on tasks including automated document audits, driver onboarding and score carding, plus real-time compliance monitoring.

The deals continue a rapid expansion of services by Fleetworthy since toll management and payment platform provider Bestpass acquired safety and driver behavior specialist Fleetworthy Solutions in November 2023. The combined companies rebranded as Fleetworthy in September 2024.

Fleetworthy bought telematics and safety technology provider and public-private weigh station network operator Drivewyze in August 2024. In December, Fleetworthy bought commercial vehicle parking violation management and resolution software provider Empire Commercial Services.
