Cargo theft activity in the United States rose to unprecedented levels in 2024, according to Verisk CargoNet's annual analysis. The number of reported incidents rose 27% from 2023 as the estimated value per theft also increased to $202,364. This news brings into question the security measures that freight transportation companies use to secure their assets - in transit and on-site.
Warehouse and distributions centers represented the most targeted location type, followed by truck stops. While on-site security guards and video monitoring are common practice, how effective are they towards theft and fraud prevention? How can you not only save your company from losses due to theft, but also save on a more effective security approach?
Find out how you can secure your yard more effectively and more efficiently. John Armstrong, Vice President of Outside Sales at AMAROK, joins Transport Topics' Seth Clevenger for a special one-on-one conversation to discuss the rising risk of cargo theft, the biggest security challenges companies face, and steps you can take to transform your physical security strategy.
