U.S., Canada Border Crossing Facilities Look at Longer Hours to Aid Commerce

In efforts to speed border crossings at certain locations, U.S. and Canadian officials are extending service center hours for drivers applying for the Free and Secure Trade program. One U.S. official was also urging the Food and Drug Administration to add weekend inspectors.

The Conference Board said Tuesday its index of consumer confidence declined to 104 in February from a revised 105 the month before, which had been the highest level in six months.
