Trucker Path announced a new app feature that lets truck stop owners provide drivers with information about parking spots, amenities and services.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Driver app developer Trucker Path announced the general release of its Truckloads freight marketplace.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Trucker Buddy International said it is expanding its program in South Carolina with the help of Meritor Inc., donating money to 19 schools with underwriting from PeopleNet, and honored a group of truck drivers and school teachers.

Technology provider TruckerLine has created a partnership with Zendrive, which provides safety analytical information, that will allow TruckerLine users to show a driving performance score on their profiles.

Trucker Buddy International and the Boy Scouts of America said they are introducing a safety program at the Mid-America Trucking Show to help Scouts earn their Truck Transportation and Traffic Safety merit badges at the show.

Ohio Truck Shield, a joint program of the Ohio Trucking Association and the Ohio Highway Patrol launched earlier this year, has already trained 500 truck drivers to watch for criminal activity on the roads.

Most truckers know that falling off a trailer can result in a cracked skull, but they also need to know that knees, ankles, hips and backs also can be damaged by a jump from the cab — injuries that can make the difference between trucking as a long-term career or just a job for the young.
