XPO Logistics’ third-quarter loss widened from a year ago, but revenue more than tripled.

Echo Global Logistics said its third-quarter profit rose from a year ago, and its revenue improved.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A logistics company unveiled a service here that will help motor carriers enhance their logistics business if they have one, or establish one if they don’t.

Echo Global Logistics Inc. has reshuffled its management team with three internal executive promotions, the Chicago-based company announced.

Third-party logistics company Radiant Logistics’ fiscal fourth-quarter net income increased from a year ago, the company said.

Jacobson Cos., a Des Moines, Iowa-based logistics company, received approval for a $250,000 loan from the Iowa Economic Development Authority to move its headquarters to a western Des Moines suburb, the Associated Press reported.

The Florida Department of Transportation said it is awarding a $2.5 million grant to the South Florida Logistics Center near Miami.

Transportation Solutions Enterprises said Tuesday it has acquired Chicago-based logistics firm The Treppel Group LLC. Terms were not disclosed.

EZE Trucking, Rialto, Calif., said it has acquired Rig Runners Inc., a Houston-based heavy-haul trucking and logistics company.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide said its second-quarter net income fell slightly from a year ago, but revenue improved.
