Truck maker Isuzu North America will build a manufacturing facility in Piedmont, S.C., that is expected to be operational by 2027, the company said.

Cummins Inc. and Isuzu Motors announced they have signed a letter of intent to jointly evaluate opportunities to deliver globally competitive powertrain products.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc. appointed Shaun Skinner president, effective April 1. He will succeed Hisao Sasaki, who will return to Isuzu Motors Ltd. in Japan.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America has introduced the 2016 NPR Diesel, which features a 13,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating and a 33.5-inch frame.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc., a distributor of low-cab-forward medium-duty trucks, said it recently delivered its 500,000th truck since the Isuzu brand entered the North American market in 1984.

Telematics provider Telogis said it is collaborating with Isuzu to develop connected-vehicle products and services for the medium-duty truck maker.
