Google announced it is extending its online shopping and delivery service across the Southeast and Northwest. With the increase, Google Express will reach 70 million more people, according to the company.

Google launched its Express online shopping service in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic on Sept. 28, as the search engine giant continues to expand the program across the country.

Internet search firm Google has just received a patent for what it calls an “autonomous delivery platform,” in which a self-driving box truck is used to deliver packages kept in locked compartments and accessed by customers using a smartphone or some other secure electronic device.

A system to detect potholes and report them  recently was patented by Google, Forbes reported.
