BRUSSELS — EU countries voted to impose duties on imports of electric vehicles from China, as talks continued between Brussels and Beijing to find an amicable solution to their trade dispute.

Volvo Car and dozens of industrial manufacturers urged Brussels to stick to a plan to halt sales of new combustion engine cars starting in 2035. 

The European Union should use emergency regulation to delay its 2025 emissions targets for automakers, according to a draft proposition from the industry lobby seen by Bloomberg.
