Strong pricing and lower fuel costs should help nearly all publicly traded fleets to report improved profits for an eighth-consecutive quarter, as third-quarter earnings reports roll in over the next several weeks.

Ceva Logistics, the Netherlands-based logistics operator, said its second-quarter results improved over 2010.

Express-1 Expedited Solutions said its second-quarter profit fell 39.2% to $914,000, or 3 cents per share, from $1.5 million, or 5 cents, a year ago.
