Canada’s industry minister said Amazon’s decision to shut down all warehouses in Quebec and cut close to 2,000 jobs would prompt the government to examine its current deals with the company.

Amazon.com Inc. will shut down all warehouses and lay off employees in the French-speaking Canadian province of Quebec.

Revenue came to $39 billion for the fiscal quarter ended in November, driven by higher prices for branded drugs and prescription volumes at the company’s U.S. retail pharmacy division.
