RC Regional Transportation Wednesday said it had named T.J. O'Connor Chief Executive Officer of less-than-truckload unit USF Bestway.

The move became effective last Thursday, Dec. 1.

O'Connor has served in a variety of executive positions at Roadway Express for the past 23 years. Most recently, he was vice president of Roadway’s western division.

O’Connor “has proven to be an excellent leader at Roadway, and he deserves this opportunity to contribute to the success of USF Bestway,” said Jim Staley, CEO of YRC Regional Transportation.

YRC is a unit of Yellow Roadway Corp., No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
