Wabash Doubles DuraPlate Warranty
railer maker Wabash National said March 30 it would double the standard warranty to 10 years on sidewalls in new DuraPlate dry-van trailers manufactured after Feb. 1.
The change comes as Wabash said it faced increased competition from other trailer makers producing similar-style trailers with foreign-supplied panels made of foam, plastic and galvanized steel.Wabash has made more than 200,000 DuraPlate trailers since 1996, spokesman Tom Rodak told Transport Topics.
