Volvo Offers Updated UD Condor Truck
The Condor MK and LK trucks made by UD, formerly Nissan Diesel, will be able to haul 8,000 to 12,000 pounds, Volvo said in a statement.
“The new Condor models are powered by engines fitted with a newly developed common rail system that increases the maximum fuel-injection pressure for achieving high levels of power and torque in a small displacement volume,” Volvo said.
Volvo, based in Sweden, purchased a majority stake in Nissan Diesel in 2006, bought the rest of the company in 2009 and changed the name to UD last year, giving Volvo a medium-duty platform to supplement its international offering of heavy-duty trucks, including Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks.
