SAN ANTONIO — Top Mexican government and industry officials voiced strong objections to U.S. rules over Mexican trucks operating here, and at least one industry leader threatened to push for relief through arbitration.But while Mexico thinks the regulations “appear not to be in compliance with objectives” of the North American Free Trade Agreement, Aaron Dychter, Mexico’s subsecretary of communications and commerce, said the government had no immediate plans to force a formal arbitration process.Oscar D. Moreno, director of development for Camara Nacional del Autotransporte de Carga, said in a speech to a Nafta Land Transportation conference here that the U.S. rules obstruct Mexican truck entry.
