Forward Air’s Profit Edges Up in 4Q
Forward Air Corp. said its fourth-quarter profit rose to $12.4 million, or 43 cents a share, from $12.2 million, or 40 cents, a year earlier.
Operating revenue rose 22.8% to a record $114.5 million, the company said late Monday.
For the full year, net income fell 8.2% to $44.9 million, or $1.50 per share, from $48.9 million, or $1.55, in 2006. Operating revenue rose 11.3% to $392.7 million.
Forward Air, a contractor to the air cargo industry, is ranked No. 66 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
