A. Duie Pyle, a Chester County-based provider of integrated transportation and distribution solutions has announced the recent openings of several new facilities.

The company has opened new LTL — or less-than-truckload — service centers in Bridgeport, W.Va., and in Columbus and Toledo, Ohio. The company now operates 35 service centers across its geographic footprint.

A. Duie Pyle ranks No. 56 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America, and No. 16 on the LTL list.

The new West Virginia facility spans 3.3 acres and features 24 LTL service center doors. The location, according to the company, offers customers enhanced access to Pyle’s suite of supply chain solutions and strengthens the company’s presence in West Virginia through direct service coverage. It also eliminates potential delays and complications associated with dependence on interline carriers.

“The Bridgeport facility is an important addition to our growing network, as it gives us the ability to service West Virginia with increased capacity and flexibility,” John Luciani, COO of LTL Solutions at Pyle, said in a statement. “We are constantly looking for ways to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our customers. This facility not only improves our ability to provide more seamless, customized and efficient solutions but also creates valuable job opportunities in the local community.”

With the addition of the two Ohio service center locations, Pyle now offers direct next-day LTL service between Ohio and the Northeast, which will allow businesses to “move freight faster, more efficiently and with greater confidence,” according to a release. The enhanced network ensures improved transit times, consistent performance and increased visibility, the company added.

The Columbus facility sits on five acres and has 52 LTL doors, while the Toledo facility sits on 24 acres and includes 80 LTL service center doors. The two locations are expected to grow rapidly, locally employing 40 drivers, 20 dockworkers, three fleet techs, two salespeople and four leaders each over the course of the next year.

Luciani added that the expansion in Ohio is about delivering more value to customers. “By bringing our high-touch, dependable LTL service directly to Ohio, we’re not only strengthening our existing relationships — we’re making it easier for new customers to access the performance, trust and operational excellence that define the Pyle experience,” he said in a statement.
