Canadian Firms to Recycle Old Trucks
Margaret Gordetsky
| Staff ReporterThe truck recycling factory is scheduled to open in July in Toronto, with more locations planned across Canada, opening over the next year.
“I think it is something that in the long run will be coming [all over],” said Andries Mellema, president of Volvo Trucks of Toronto. “We cannot continue to dump wrecks in landfills. When a truck is wrecked or written off, there are still a lot of parts left on it that can be used.”
