Bush Cabinet Proposal Stirs Transport Concerns

Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, said he had no intention of relinquishing his oversight of the Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.
But in a speech in Kansas City, Mo., on June 11, the president took to task members of Congress who try to defend their committee structure against the possible reshuffling that the new department might require.
