Swedish truck maker Scania AB has reached agreement to buy a Swedish component plant owned by General Motors Corp., Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. reported Friday it lost $358 million in the fourth quarter due to a strike at 16 of its plants that reduced sales.

Tire maker Michelin said Thursday it earned about $750 million or $5.20 a share in 2006, down from $1.17 billion or $8.04 in 2005.

Trailer-tracking technology maker SkyBitz Inc. and has teamed with Stemco LP to offer mileage readings in conjunction with real-time trailer tracking for commercial fleets and trailer leasing companies, the two said Monday.
