Oil extended gains from the highest close in seven weeks as industry data showed U.S. crude stockpiles plunged, easing a glut.

Minnesota Department of Agriculture officials have rejected a request by the state’s trucking association to delay a plan to increase the mix of biofuel to 20% of all diesel sold in the state beginning May 1.

Oil declined after tanker-tracker Petro-Logistics SA said OPEC’s supply in July will be the highest this year.
