Yellow Freight System selected Campbell-Ewald Advertising as its advertising and marketing communications partner.
The Detroit-based agency will take the lead in developing a national “branding” campaign for the long-haul, less-than-truckload freight carrier, a subsidiary of Yellow Corp. in Overland Park, Kan.
Campbell-Ewald beat out D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles of St. Louis and Draft Worldwide of Chicago for the Yellow Freight account, worth about $15 million a year.
In addition, Yellow Freight picked Valentine McCormick Ligibel Advertising of Kansas City, Mo., to handle its e-commerce and online marketing business.
