Western Star Truck Sales Inc. is now offering Neway ADZ Series heavy-duty drive axle air suspensions by SAF-Holland as an option for its Western Star 4800, 4900 and 6900 truck models.

The ADZ Series suspensions are ideal for severe-duty and heavy-duty vocational applications, Western Star said in the Aug. 20 announcement.

The new suspension reduces weight by more than 220 pounds per axle compared with previous models, enabling increased payload and efficiency, the company said.

The ADZ Series suspensions are available in single, tandem and tridem axle configurations, ranging from 23,000 to 78,000 pounds.

Western Star is a subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America.
