Werner Enterprises will implement MacroPoint’s freight tracking platform in its North American logistics business, the companies said in a joint announcement.

MacroPoint said its patented technology will provide data on more than 240,000 shipments that Werner Logistics manages for partner carriers each year. Werner Logistics will have access to MacroPoint’s predictive analytics, custom alerts and real-time tracking for its shipments across North America.

MacroPoint’s platform is designed to give shippers and third-party logistics companies real-time information on the status of loads.

Werner, which is based in Omaha, Neb., ranks No. 15 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada. Its Werner Global Logistics unit ranks No. 22 on the Transport Topics Top 50 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.
