Vitran Corp. reported a third-quarter loss Thursday as its less-than-truckload operations declined.
It lost $10.1 million, or 62 cents per share, compared with a loss of $3.4 million, or 21 cents, a year ago.
Revenue was flat at $206.2 million, the Toronto-based carrier said.
Its LTL unit reported an operating loss of $9.2 million, compared with a $2.9 million loss a year ago, while its supply chain segment’s operating income fell to $2.6 million from $2.9 million a year ago.
Vitran is ranked No. 34 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
