LTL Carrier XGS Focuses on Flooring Industry Distribution

LRT Group will buy Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Xpress Global Systems for an undisclosed sum, according to a Nov. 6 letter to customers.
Flooring industry distribution specialist XGS operates more than 300 tractor-trailers, according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration data.
“With a strong reputation for reliability, innovation and customer service, LRT Group brings decades of experience and a proven track record of success. Their commitment to operational excellence and strategic growth aligns perfectly with the values and ambitions of XGS,” less-than-truckload carrier XGS told customers in the letter, which was made public in a Nov. 7 social media post.
“Joining forces with the LRT Group opens tremendous opportunities for XGS. With the support and resources of the LRT Group, we anticipate expanding our service offerings, enhancing our capabilities and delivering even greater value to our customers. The integration with LRT Group will allow us to leverage their industry expertise while maintaining the high standards and personalized service you have come to expect from XGS,” said XGS, which specializes in outsized sheet vinyl, turf and fabric transportation.
XGS has been acquired by LRT Group, a leader in logistics and transportation, marking the start of a new chapter for the company and its customers.

Truckload carrier Little River Transportation operates more than 100 power units, according to FMCSA data. It also operates more than 220 dry van and refrigerated trailers.
LRT already had a presence in Chattanooga as one of its key hubs alongside Memphis, Tenn., and Dallas.
