| Staff ReporterA third measure could repeal tolls on Oklahoma’s turnpikes – nearly three decades from now.
The first bill would create a Department of Motor Carriers — a “one-stop shop” for items such as permits, single-state registrations and intrastate carrier licensing. The transportation division of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission — except the railroad section — and the Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section of the Oklahoma Tax Commission would be abolished and their duties transferred to the new department.
