Through an agreement with Volvo Trucks North America, Transportation.com will give its members access to financial services, roadside assistance and truck purchasing information.

The partnership will give Transportation.com members access to Volvo’s online truck configuration program. The program assists new truck customers as they “spec” their own truck; provides a suggested retail price and a directs them to the nearest dealer.

Volvo Trucks will also include a free single-year subscription to Transportation.com’s load-matching services as part of its Most Valuable Package Program. The MVP program includes a free laptop computer with software and free Internet access, allowing customers to easily connect to Transportation.com’s load-matching services.

Volvo’s program also includes benefits highly desired by small fleets and owner-operators, which together represent more than 60% of the $441 billion transportation industry in the United States, Transportation.com said.
