NFI to Equip Fleet With Qualcomm's Tracking Product

Qualcomm Inc. said Tuesday that transportation and logistics provider NFI Industries selected Qualcomm's untethered trailer asset management product as its tracking system.

NFI's subisidiaries include trucklod carrier National Freight and NFI Interactive Logistics.

Up to 4,000 National Freight trailers are expected to be outfitted with Qualcomm's tracking system beginning this fall. This would allow NFI to remotely pinpoint the location of its trailers, Qualcomm said.

Cadec Releases Program for Tracking Opening of Trailer Doors

Cadec Corp. said a wireless sensor option for tracking the opening or trailer doors was available for use with its Mobius TTS onboard computer system.

Cadec said DoorTracker monitors and records all opening events on up to three trailer doors. The program provides the exact locations for all door events, as well as how long a door remained open. Transport Topics
