TCA Gets Robert Hansen Trucking
Robert Hansen Trucking operates more than 200 company trucks in the eastern part of the U.S. The company had revenue of $24 million in 1998 and was expected to generate revenue of more than $30 million in 1999.
TCA said it will pay $2.2 million in cash and issue approximately 350,000 shares, plus assume about $16 million in debt, to purchase the company. President Robert Hansen will join TCA as a marketing consultant and will represent TCA as vice chairman of the Truckload Carriers Assn., a group in which he will serve as chairman next year.
TCA Chairman James B. Aronson said the two companies will combine their truckload operations within the next 30 days.
