The Senate late Thursday confirmed Randy Babbit, former president of the Air Line Pilots Association, as the administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.
The confirmation for the five-year post came late Thursday, Aero-News Network reported.
In addition to Babbit’s tenure as president of ALPA, a pilots' union, he has served as a partner with Oliver Wyman, an aviation consulting firm.
The Senate also confirmed Peter Rogoff as administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, said the Transportation Trades Department of AFL-CIO, a union federation.
