egmentz said Tuesday that its shareholders overwhelmingly approved the company’s name change to Express-1 Expedited Solutions Inc.

The company changed its trading symbol on the American Stock Exchange to XPO, from the former SZI ticker.

The company’s board had approved the change in March. (Click here for previous coverage.)

Its management believes the name change will better describe the company and that the change is consistent with its efforts to grow its expedited transportation business, the company said.

Express-1 provides expedited transportation services, specializing in same-day and next-day pickup and delivery.
