Software Firm Gets CBP’s OK For ACE System
Software provider Kleinschmidt Inc., Deerfield, Ill., said U.S. Customs and Border Protection has approved the company’s Internet-based software package for trucks traveling between the United States and Canada.Carriers will be able to use the software to comply with the Automated Commercial Environment program, the company said. The program, which is undergoing a test, requires carriers to submit complete manifest information to U.S. and Canadian officials at least an hour before arriving at the border.Earlier this month, software firm Maddocks Inc., received ACE certification for its Truckmate application.Transport TopicsÌý
