olding company SCS Transportation said Thursday it had promoted David Gorman to chief executive officer at its Jevic Transportation subsidiary.

Gorman was most recently Jevic’s senior vice president of operations. He succeeded Paul Karvois, who left the company, the company said.

Jevic runs truckload and less-than-truckload operations.

SCS also named Mark Robinson as SCS' chief information officer. Robinson was most recently vice president of information technology at Saia Motor Freight Line, the company's multi-region LTL subsidiary.

SCS is ranked No. 24 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
