The Transportation Department’s Research and Special Programs Administration is soliciting public comment on a new set of rules governing the transport of radioactive materials that would bring the United States into harmony with international standards.The proposed rules target a number of requirements under current regulations, including those dealing with shipping names and packaging.
The proposal may be found in the Dec. 28 edition of the Federal Register on its Web site at . Comments are due by March 29.
