ank truck carrier Quality Distribution late Monday reported second-quarter net income of $5.5 million or 28 cents a share, up from $2.7 million or 14 cents a year ago.

Transportation revenue rose 6.9% from a year ago to $149.3 million.

“We have a significant sales pipeline, and, as we start the second half of the year, demand is strong and revenues are running at high single digit levels above last year,” Chief Executive Officer Jerry Detter said in a statement.
