Three Teamsters Local 120 members were found in contempt of court in connection with an alleged assault of one Overnite driver and harassment of another, according to a May 15 press release from the less-than-truckload carrier.
Union members allegedly locked one driver in his truck’s trailer and hit another in the face with a picket sign, a charge the union denies.
After pleading no-contest to the charges, Bradley Slawson Jr., Edward Barnum and Lewis Miller were ordered to keep away from Overnite property and those of its customers. The defendants also were ordered to pay $500 each to compensate the carrier for attorneys’ fees and court costs.
