North American Show Draws Record 30,000
Gregory Coughlin, the show’s director, said attendance was nearly 4% above the 28,995 people who came to last year’s exhibition, which attracted visitors from the United States and at least five other countries.
The program, which ran from May 6 to 8, featured 603 domestic and foreign exhibitors who presented their products in 330,000 square feet of space at the Bayside Expo Center.
During the first two days, participants had an opportunity to attend technical seminars covering a variety of subjects, including freight management software, on-board computers, fleet graphics, trailers and vocational trucks.
“We don’t get the great numbers of over-the-road truckers they get,” he said. “We get the ones who use day cabs and make short regional runs."
