ew home sales jumped 13.8% in March, the biggest jump in almost 12 years, the Commerce Department reported Wednesday.
The rise to a 1.213 million annual rate from a revised February rate of 1.066 million was well above the 1.11 million rate expected by economists, Bloomberg reported.
Rising home sales can mean more business for flatbed trucking companies that haul building materials and dry van freight that haul household appliances and furniture.
