New Head of Highway Users Opposes Fuel Tax Hikes

“I don’t think we can even think about it with fuel prices so high,” Diane Steed told Transport Topics in an interview.
Her remarks followed recent proposals by some lawmakers to tie the federal fuel tax to an inflation index and make increases retroactive.
