Military Plans Procurement Policy Change

| Associate News EditorIn the July 21 issue of the Federal Register, the Pentagon announced its intentions to bring its procedures in line with another law called the Federal Acquisition Regulation. If enacted, the rules will apply to most long-term trucking services procured by the Military Traffic Management Command, based in Alexandria, Va.
“We will assist industry in the conversion from a tender-based system,” said Maj. Gen. Kenneth L. Privratsky, commander of MTMC.
