Mack’s Granite Model Tops in Straight-Truck Registrations
Mack Trucks' Granite model is the best-selling heavy-duty conventional straight truck in the United States, based on registrations of new commercial vehicles in 2016, according to theÌýmanufacturer.
Mack cited IHS Markit’s tally of U.S. Class 8 VIN-defined conventional straight-truck new vehicle registrations for 10 liters and larger engines, January-December 2016.
The truck is available in axle forward or axle back configurations and can be spec’d for dump and concrete mixer applications or in the refuse segment as a rear-loader or roll off, for plow applications at municipalities and for heavy-haul or logging applications, the Greensboro, North Carolina, company said.
Mack is a unit of Sweden-based Volvo Group.
