WINNSBORO, S.C. — After two and a half years of research and development, Mack Trucks is ready to roll the dice in a bet that it can claim a major share of the long-haul truck market.The vehicle for this gamble is called “Vision.” It is bigger, more aerodynamic and lighter than any truck now made by the company.The truck is aimed at a segment of the market called “super-regional,” said Paul L. Vikner, executive vice president of sales and marketing.
