n order to keep trucking competitive into the future, make more money and permit our customers to live through these tough times of high fuel prices and all kinds of cost increases, I have some suggestions.

We should be allowed to increase the weight we haul, add axles to the vehicles and reduce the maximum speed limit to 65 miles per hour.

We must get shippers and receivers to respect a maximum of one hour per loading dock visit and eliminate the waiting time of drivers.

This should help us get enough revenue to pay drivers decently and generate sufficient funds to give the industry a minimum return of 10% on invested capital.
